The adventure begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, the heart of Nepal. Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Your first day is dedicated to exploring the spiritual essence of the city with a visit to Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. Perched on a hill, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and exudes a deeply spiritual atmosphere with its ancient stupas, prayer flags, and chanting monks. As evening falls, you’ll stroll through the vibrant streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s lively tourist hub, filled with colorful shops, restaurants, and cultural treasures.
The second day takes you to Bhaktapur, a city renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture and artistic heritage. As you enter Bhaktapur, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. The day begins with a visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This square is home to architectural wonders such as the Nyatapola Temple, the 55-Window Palace, and the intricately carved Golden Gate. Afterward, you’ll explore Pottery Square, where local artisans shape clay into beautiful pottery using traditional techniques. A delicious Newari lunch awaits, offering a taste of Bhaktapur’s culinary heritage, including dishes like Bara (lentil pancakes) and Juju Dhau (the famous “king curd”). The rest of the afternoon is free for leisurely exploration of the city’s charming streets and handicraft shops. As the day concludes, you’ll relax at a boutique hotel in Bhaktapur, reflecting the city’s cultural richness.
On the third day, you’ll journey to Panauti, a quaint and spiritual village nestled at the confluence of two rivers. Known for its serene ambiance and historical significance, Panauti offers a unique glimpse into Nepal’s rural life. You’ll begin with a visit to the town’s iconic landmarks, including the Indreshwar Mahadev Temple, one of the oldest temples in Nepal, and the Brahmayani Temple. A visit to the community museum provides insight into Panauti’s rich history, traditions, and cultural practices.
Your stay in Panauti is highlighted by an authentic homestay experience. You’ll be welcomed into the home of a local family, where you’ll have the chance to engage in their daily routines. In the evening, you’ll share stories with your host family and enjoy folk music or dance, immersing yourself in the warm hospitality and culture of the village. This night at the homestay promises to be a truly memorable and heartwarming experience.
The final day begins with an early morning hike to a nearby viewpoint, where you’ll witness a serene sunrise over the lush hills and valleys surrounding Panauti.
